This month’s challenge is brought to us by Sharla at Beaded Tail! It’s all about flowers…
“April showers brought May flowers so let’s see them! Create something with flowers and let your imagination bloom!”
While scrolling through Pinterest I’ve noticed more and more people are using washi tape for numerous projects. It’s amazing at all the neat crafts it can be used to create. Itching to jump on the washi tape band wagon I came up with two digital sets using the same floral patterns to represent a summer garden and a midnight garden.
I would love to hear what you think!
As I looked out my kitchen window the other I saw quite the funny site. A mockingbird was chasing a squirrel down my fence. Well, a few days later the mockingbird did it again. For some reason, it didn’t like the squirrels on my fence. I figured there must be a nest they are protecting, so I went searching. Sure enough I found it. The nest is in a tall bush in my neighbor’s yard between our two houses. There are two ugly little babies with the brightest yellow beaks I have ever seen. They are so cute! Every time I get near they shoot their little heads up wanting food.
I find it comical that these two mockingbirds have taken over my backyard. They guard the entire place even though the nest isn’t back there. I’ve seen daddy sit on top of the sandbox looking about the yard for intruders. Thankfully, for the squirrels at least, the mockingbirds don’t bother them on the back side of the fence. It’s almost like a battle zone back there! Ha ha!
