It’s almost midnight and I’m wide awake. The fabulous thing about homesickness is that it can creep up on you whenever you least expect. So, in order to deal with it, I decided to take to my blog and write.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to write about how crappy and depressed I’m feeling. That would just be annoying.

The best thing for me to do when I can’t sleep is either watch TV, read or Pinterest myself to sleep. I know, I know, those are the worst things you can do before bed. I think I’m suppose to turn off all electronic devises at least an hour before sleep, but what if you can’t? Should I just stare at the ceiling until my eyes dry out?

Honestly, my favorite thing to do when I can’t sleep is to Pinterest myself to sleep. There is just something relaxing about scrolling through a day of pins. Many a times I have awoken after dozing to my finger pressed on a pin waiting for the next move. Usually they aren’t pins I’m interested in pinning. Come to think of it, it might be a good idea to go through some of my boards to see if I have any insomnia pins that need to go. Wouldn’t surprise me if there are a few.

Tonight I’m watching How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I’m on my second go around because its on repeat on whatever cable channel I’m watching. I love this movie. Its such a cute little rom-com. I’m at the art where she names his penis “Princess Sofia.” My husband has woken up twice asking me what time it is, to which I respond, “just go back to sleep.”

Now I wait for my dog to jump into bed with us and for sleep to come. Hopefully soon!
